Default installing a subwoofer and amp

I'm trying install a amp and subwoofer to my stock head unit. I'm using the dblink hlc1 for my converter. My main question is would the onstar effect the install? And has anyone else installed an amp and subwoofers to the stock radio?

I would rather not remove the stock head I'm going to try a different amp I hooked everything up and I'm not getting any bass just random noises. Did you have trouble connecting the positve terminal?

they do make amps that have a high level input amps instead of the RCA hook up,then you connect to the rear speakers with the amp and sub speakers but they are not nearly as good as a dedicated input but they will add some bass

Hey Derf,
Thought I had that signature thing down? It shows up on my posts, is it not showing up when you read them? Is there a problem with the fount I used? First try, I had a quote after my small list of vehicles, then I changed it to the top. What am I missing?
