View Full Version : Steering Wheel Shake 65+mph Secretagent0057 03-18-2007, 12:17 AM I am having a bit of trouble with my L100 at speeds of over 65mph. S-Turn 03-18-2007, 10:22 PM check the alignment. probably one too many curb collisions. also check the tires to see if they are wearing evenly, and that they don't have any bulges in them. could be many things, so you can also try taking off the front tires and looking at the tie rod ends, a-arms, etc.to give us a better chance at helping you out. -S-Turn- Secretagent0057 03-19-2007, 08:03 PM Thanks S-turn. I will put her on a rack and take a look. I'll let you know what I come up with. Secretagent0057 03-30-2007, 07:42 PM S-turn, I had new tires and rims installed. The steering wheel shake is barely noticable. I also had the tie-rods checked and they look good. The sway bars were a bit loose so that may be causing the the minor shake. I'll let you know if this does the trick. Thank you for all of your help. GarrenNatas 03-30-2007, 09:07 PM I have a buddy that had this problem in his truck... So to fix it, he planned on just tightening the bolts the hold the steering wheel to the column... He ended up with an airbag in the face... LOL lamont4689 06-19-2007, 12:29 PM have the wheels spin balanced--- all the shake will disappear sw2cam 06-19-2007, 03:51 PM Balance balance balance all four tires and wheels. If the tires are bad if the wheels are bad replace them. mikederocher 06-09-2008, 04:28 PM It''s the tire balance. |
