I have a passenger side seatbelt stuck in the rest position when the doors are open. I do not care about having the belts working again but I am wondering how to position the hook to the rest position when the doors are closed. so I can have the car inspected so it will pass inspection.

Any help would be great

Thanks

I'm assuming by stuck in rest position you mean towards the front. You should have an "emergency" seat belt anchor in the glove box or in the pocket of the user manual. These came with the car from Saturn for just such an occasion.

If you can find it, it can be placed in the track at the back of the track, where it "hooks in" to some tabs which are designed to hold it. Simply unlatch the shoulder belt from the motor and attach it to the anchor you've installed, and you should be good to go.

If you can't find the anchor, you can get one from Saturn Parts.
