I own a 1998 SC-2 with 112K miles. The problem I've been having is that when mycar sits for an extended period of time (e.g. overnight or all day at the office) it won't start up right away. I have to floor the accelerator to get the car to turn over and then white smoke and the smell of gascomes out of the exhaust. The car runs fine after I force it to start. No problems if I have to run errands and start the car multiple times - the problem is just that 1st start after a long period of inactivity. I put a new battery in 3 months ago and just put in new spark plugs and spark plug wires. What's the problem?

it sounds like an issue with the throttle body or fuel delivery...

you should check your pump, fuel lines, injectors, and your spark plugs. check the gap on them..
