my wives 99 sl2 sunroof has the typical problem of the cable guides being broken. i have found a website that sells a product that is a replacement piece that you remove the attaching rivets from the factory roof module and rerivet in new metal cable guides. i was just wondering if anyone has tried or heard of anyone tring this.i believe the site is sunroofdoctor.com. the price for the parts is $150 which is much more reasonable than a new module or even a salvage yard part

I personally do not know of anyone that has bought the repair kit. I do know people that have bought the module from salvage yards. They did not hold up well. I hope what ever you decide to do works out well.

I think I'd like to know how long they would last overall. I'm sure they will fix the problem, but for how long. Seven years is pretty good for a sunroof to operate.
