So far so good, love the car but...2 problems....


1. Neither key will open the trunk. The trunk release lever in the car works great but I can't open the trunk with the keys.


2. The dome light does not come on when I open the drivers door. It comes on with the other 3 doors just fine. The chime sounds when drivers door is open but no light. Plus dome light does not come on when I use key to unlock the door which according to the manual, it should. Any one else have these problems or know how to fix either of them? Thanks!

 

Have never used a key to open my trunk. Don't think I even realized I could open the trunk with a key [img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img]!


As far as the dome light, check the door switch. Maybe it's just stuck and needs to be freed up.

 

If the key does not work in the trunk I'd guess the lock has gone bad and needs to be replaced. May just be dirty from non use. Get some teflon lube from radio shack and put it in the lock. Work the key in the lock gently to see if it frees up. If not replace the lock.
