My 1998 SC2 bucks constantly when driving. My husband changed the fuel filter and it did nothing. He changed the spark plugs and purged the system and it didn't change anything. We have been told it may be the coil. Any suggestions? Edited by: rottie2

Is the SES light on? Goget a free-bee failure code reading at an auto parts store. Start from there. Edited by: stevestar99

We finally gave in and took the car in to Saturn. They found out it was the EGR valve.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Thank you for posting what fixed it. As much as I hate to sayit, even the most knowledgable mechanic can only do so much based on a simple discription. I'm glad it was a simple problem to fix.
