I am 17 and for the past year i have done all my own work on the previous three cars i have had, It''s much cheaper, most of the time, I''m no mechanic, I just learn by jumpin right into the project. So far all of my fixes have been successful, I have put in alternators, starters, radiators, and spark plugs before. Recently I was changing the spark plugs on my 1998 Saturn SC2, I was for some reason in a hurry and didn''t think about the firing order when I reconnected the cables, I started the car and It ran for a second really rough then shut off, I realized what I did right away and corrected the problem, then it started and idled fine. When I started to drive it things started going down hill.. now everytime I give it gas, even just a little bit to excellerate the car sturtters, as if I shifted too early or something. I don''t have any money for big repairs so I''m hoping you smart people have some good ideas. Yeah I know i''m a dumby I should have taken my time. ha well thanks for the help!

Check for oil in the spark plug wells. This can cause a short and a mis fire.
